Protect the Trees!

Marianas Variety, Tuesday, July 4, 2006

Be mindful of the young trees

BEAUTIFY CNMI, with the help of several government agencies, local community groups and volunteers, recently planted 22 flame trees along the beach side of Beach Road between Gold Beach Hotel and the Garapan Fishing Base.

The Liberation Day parade today will pass by every single one of these trees. If you are watching the parade, please be mindful of these young trees. A lot of planning, coordination, and sweat went into their planting. It would be a shame, not to mention a waste of valuable time and money, if one of these trees was damaged by the crowd.

Thank you, and have a safe and happy Liberation Day.
